By the time I'm old and grey (30 - 3 years time) I shall be opening a swanky, swish and stylish bar in Central London. At the moment I am a poor poor man unable to buy a house (or a tent for that matter) let alone a whole business but BARventure has been created to help me with this goal - whilst helping make business a little easier for other people like me.. I'm certain that a large portion of the UK population would be willing to give a small donation for information they found useful, hence the little white 'donate' buttons scattered all over this site. Over the coming weeks, months and years I shall be compiling resources, articles and information related to the hospitality industry that you, my lovely readers and supporters, can use. Relying on my 'Honesty Policy' and the kind nature of you, my readers, to keep BARventure free for all I shall deposit your donations (or 'little acts of kindness' as I like to call them) into a high interest bank account where my bank manager shall nurture, feed and water them until they grow into a swanky, swish and stylish bar in Central London. No doubt he shall also make a small fortune from this so your donations will be going twice as far. I've set myself the small and easily accomplished target of £300,000 (What!? It's only £1 each from 0.5% of the population...) Yes I know, this is unashamed begging, but I'm not totally crazy, there is something in it for you too. Anyone who donates money will get their name and; if they would like, a web-link on my supporters page. The top 100 donors will also get their names inscribed on plaques in my bar, and for the donor who gives the most, 5% of the first years profits or £5k (whichever is greater) is up for grabs. I'm also planning on holding a huge pre-opening night champagne reception for the top 100 donors Now I know what you're thinking..."how do I know he'll actually do any of this?" This is a very good point and I'm afraid I have no good answer for you. Save this. I'm an honest guy and I mean to stick by the pledges I've made here. If you can all help me on my way to owning my own bar, I shall uphold my end of the bargain and, if and when I can, I promise to do more as well. Using some of my profits to help other people like me start their own businesses. Fairs Fair...I hope that in today's world of exaggeration, liars, cheats, money grabbers and thief's, the word of one man still means something. I guess that's up to you. So
if you've found this website useful press that little 'donate' button
and show me your appreciation and support. Thanks for helping me on my great BARventure. David
